2. Acceptance of these Terms

By browsing the store, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the store.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order. By ordering you represent that you meet this requirement.

We may update these Terms. Changes take effect when posted on this page and apply to orders placed afterwards. Orders already accepted remain governed by the Terms in force when they were placed.

3. Products

We sell decorative and functional furnishings for jumping spider (Salticidae) and other small invertebrate enclosures — hides, ledges, climbing structures, feeding accessories and complete terrariums. Every piece is our own design, 3D-printed in Hungary.

Product photographs are illustrative. Because every item is 3D-printed, color, surface texture and dimensions may vary slightly from piece to piece and from the photographs. Such variation is normal and is not a defect.

We may change, limit or discontinue any product at any time. We may also limit quantities per customer or per order.

4. Prices, taxes and duties

Prices for US customers are shown in United States dollars.

Because we ship on a delivered-duty-paid basis, the total you see at checkout is the total you pay. If a carrier nevertheless bills you for duty or an import fee on one of our shipments, send us the invoice at [email protected] and we will reimburse it.

Depending on where you live, you may owe use tax to your own state on purchases from out-of-state sellers. Any such tax is your responsibility.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price (for example $0 or a price off by an order of magnitude), we are not obligated to sell at that price. We will contact you, offer the correct price, and cancel and refund the order in full if you do not want to proceed.

5. Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion — for example if an item is out of stock, the address or contact details are incomplete or appear false, or the transaction shows signs of fraud.

The automatic email you receive after checkout confirms that your order arrived; it is not acceptance. A contract is formed only when we send a separate email confirming that we accept the order, normally within 48 hours.

If we decline or cancel an order after payment, we refund the full amount without undue delay and in any event within 14 days.

To correct a mistake in a submitted order, email [email protected] right away. We will amend any order that has not yet shipped, at no charge.

6. Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure form; we never see, store or process your card number.

Your card is charged when you confirm the order. If the payment fails or is reversed, no contract is formed and we may cancel the order.

Your card issuer may treat the charge as an international transaction and add a foreign transaction fee. That fee is set by your bank, not by us.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, customs processing or weather.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date and we will investigate with the carrier and replace or refund the order.

We currently ship to addresses in the fifty states and the District of Columbia. We do not ship to freight forwarders, and we cannot guarantee delivery to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

8. Returns and refunds

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. This is our own policy, offered voluntarily, and is described in full on the Returns and Refunds page.

Personalized items — name signs and anything made to your specification — cannot be returned unless they are defective.

You pay return shipping unless the item is defective or we sent the wrong item. We refund the original shipping charge when the entire order is returned.

9. Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS AND EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY BELOW, THE PRODUCTS AND THE STORE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limited warranty. We warrant that the products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 24 months from delivery. If a product proves defective within that period, we will repair it, replace it, or refund its purchase price, at our option. This is your exclusive remedy for a defective product.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, modification, improper cleaning agents, exposure to heat sources or UV lamps beyond the stated tolerances, or damage caused by an animal.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BGFOX KFT. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE STORE OR THE PRODUCTS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR A PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer protection law of the state where you reside.

Please contact us first. Most problems are solved in a day or two by email. Write to [email protected] describing the issue and what outcome you want; we will respond within 30 days.

We do not require you to arbitrate, and we do not ask you to waive class actions. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you may bring a claim in the courts of Hungary, or in any court in your own state that has jurisdiction over us. You may also use the small claims court of your state if your claim qualifies.

12. Intellectual property

All content of the store — the product designs and 3D models, photographs, text, graphics and the Jump & Hide name and logo — is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or publicly display any part of it without our prior written permission. Reproducing our products, 3D-scanning them, or manufacturing and selling copies is prohibited.

If you believe material on the store infringes your copyright, send a notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to [email protected].

13. Privacy

We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which includes the disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act. By placing an order you confirm that you have read it.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure, carrier or customs delays, internet outages and payment-provider failures.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Shipping page and the Returns page, are the entire agreement between us regarding the store.
